Thew Associates, a New York-based land surveying firm, is entering into a new era of leadership. After 36 years of service with the firm, including 28 years as Principal, James S. Thew, PLS is stepping down from his role at Thew Associates to usher in a new generation of leadership. Michael P. Merithew, PLS and Jeremy L. Sweeney, PLS have purchased the member shares of Thew Associates from Spencer and James Thew and will assume Principal duties.
Jim Thew expressed his gratitude for all the clients who trusted in the services of Thew Associates throughout his tenure: “I have been blessed to have worked with so many wonderful people over the years. I thank each and every one of you for your trust in us to provide quality services on your projects.” He also thanked the staff for their commitment and dedication to the company during this transition period.
Mike and Jeremy will strive to uphold the same principles set by Jim of providing responsive, professional, and quality services to each client. Mike stated that “the goal is to continue the Thew Associates legacy of delivering high quality service and exceeding our clients’ expectations.” while Jeremy added that they were “honored to be part of such an established organization with a long history of providing superior service”.
